What I derived from the course was the interaction with the other course participants, which one can learn from and also network with in the future. The course itself is an eye opener especially if you want to run with the letting process from start to finish yourself. The legal aspects I found very much as the most important part of the course.
The detail of the course also spells what to do on a step-by-step basis to reduce the letting process risk to a minimum though there is no guarantee that your investment will be looked after by the tenants. Ideas on where the letting market is and how to go about dealing with your tenant, was also of great value. The course however needed more time in order to digest the nutritional value of the workshop. Keep up the good work. - Ebrahiem Kammies

I found this online course very helpful. I am now much more comfortabile with terms like balance sheet, etc. The feasibility calculator is a wonderful tool to compare potential deals, and to realise what information is important when evaluating the purchase of a property. I now understand for the first time the relevance of research on certain criteria, what these criteria all are, and the importance of accurate information, before a decision can be made regarding the potential of the property deal. In life you come across all sorts of people offering to help you out, at a fee. Most offers just aren’t worth it and you leave feeling cheated. But once in a while someone comes along with something that’s value for money and exceeds your expectations; I found that in Karen and Sean Wheller when I did their Investor Letting Workshop. Their combined knowledge on the subject is extensive, current and PRACTICAL, they are passionate about property and teaching. I would not dream of getting a tenant in place without using their rental agreement. - David Shadford

I attended the Calculating Residential Investment Deals because I wanted to learn more about the ins' and outs' of property investing. As a property investor I constantly look to learn more to enhance my strategies. What I found and have to say about the course is that it exceeded my expectations. For a two week course, I thought it will be pretty superficial, but I found quite the contrary. It is very in-depth, it takes the thought process from the beginning of financial understanding and puts together many ideas on how to look at the properties when purchasing them. I know that this course has helped me avoid in the future bad purchases and helped me search for properties that suit me financially. I am now looking forward now to do the Letting course on PIN. The biggest lesson is that you need to use the correct lease agreement and perhaps even more importantly, you need to UNDERSTAND your lease agreement.
The workshop helped me understand the lease agreement and how I can use it to my advantage, especially when it comes to cancellations and terminations. I have avoided many headaches by attending the workshop because it gave me a clear idea of what you can or should do when a tenant is not paying the rent. And as a bonus it’s also really interesting stuff!. Johan van den Berg – JHB

The calculating residential investment deals were really informative & easy to follow at a time that suites me. Being online meant one could always refer back if you missed anything or need for it to be explained again. Very good in order to avoid burning you fingers when considering a new deal and making the right financial decisions. Steyn du Plessis - London |

The letting workshop had double value for me, both as a landlord and as a tenent.. I am now making use of a rental agent with houses I am renting out in Bellville and Swellendam (W.Cape). Your lease agreement is excellent, and gave me a lot of confidence to continue the process without a rental agent.
On the other hand, I was also renting myself, a farmhouse in the Heidelberg (W.Cape) district. After all the practical information I learnt in the letting workshop, I realised that my landlord was trying to take me for a ride. With the information I was able to confront him with legitimate and up to date information - on which he had no answer, and lost his "case" against me. - Pierre van Den Berg
